Tonight is my very last adult gym class for 2013. I've only been going for about 5 weeks, so I always have plenty to work on. I attend classes on Tuesday and Thursday from 8-10pm at North Harbour Gymnastics.
My Gymnastics Story;
I did a couple of terms of gymnastics as a kid and was always really inspired by the Olympians I saw competing backflips on the beam and huge tumbles on the floor. In 2010 I got a part time job coaching recreational gymnastics at the YMCA and I've pretty much been going ever since. This year I picked up some extra shifts and began coaching around 20 hours a week. This really inspired me to get my A into G and attempt to pick up some new skills. So far I've managed to learn front tucks and front handsprings on the floor and back tucks on the trampoline. The next goal is a roundoff back tuck and of course, the splits! I'm nearly there!
